Meet Our Staff

Billie, a South Carolina native, is the Senior Pastor of Wilson’s Mills Baptist Church.  He and his wife, Lorraine, have been married for 25 years and are the proud parents of two grown sons, Benjamin and Will.  Billie was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Furman University in 1984.  Upon graduation and marriage, Billie and Lorraine moved to the Corinth Holders community of Johnston County from where he commuted to Wake Forest, NC while attending Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS).  After graduating from SEBTS with a Master of Divinity with Religious Education in 1987, he was called to Wilson’s Mills Baptist Church as Senior Pastor and has now served there for more than 21 years.

Tim Brown, Associate Pastor/Minister of Students

Tim was born and raised in Johnston County and came to know Christ as a child at WMBC.  He and his wife Vicki have three children: TJ, Anna Grace, and Allen.

Tim was ordained as a Deacon in 1993 at WMBC and had a passion to grow God's kingdom.  After 13 years with the NC Dept. of Corrections, Tim felt God's call to the ministry and quickly found himself enrolled at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.  Tim started as a volunteer leader with the Youth at WMBC in 1999 and in 2002 was ordained to minister full-time on the WMBC staff as Minister of Students.  He serves on the Caswell Planning Committee for summer programs at Fort Caswell through the Baptist State Convention of NC.  He has also served the community as a volunteer fireman with the Wilson's Mills Fire Department for over 20 years where he is an assistant chaplain.   Tim has a love for sports but has a passion for the game of baseball which he has passed on to his sons.
